DIY Easter Decorating
With Easter only a few short weeks away, I have been thinking about how I will be decorating this year. We have in the store some gorgeous wooden rabbits and toadstools which are perfect for Easter but I thought it would be fun to get creative and try and create some more decorative pieces to compliment them.
Firstly, I love these ideas of using cardboard egg cartons for Easter decorations . It is so easy to create. Simply a painted egg carton with shot glasses for little vases, and gorgeous flowers. Shown below, this idea is a little bit more time consuming, but still relatively easy. The egg carton has been chopped up and painted to create fun flower shapes and then fashioned into a wreath.
Below is another cute flower arrangement. The foam eggs are simply skewered onto a bamboo skewer, which has been wrapped with ribbon. These make a great festive addition to the flowers.
Shown below is the best idea yet (it is certainly the cheapest to construct!) An egg garland made out of paint chips!

Fanantique Flowers
With Christmas just around the corner, this poor blog has been terribly neglected as things in the store get busier. We have received so many gorgeous new things in but I am also waiting on many more. I have some gorgeous Peacocks due in store at any minute and I am dying to put some images up.
I am planning on putting together a Christmas tree covered in Peacocks, so I can't wait for them to arrive.
As I write this I have one eye on the door waiting for the delivery!
In the meantime, here is just one of the the things that has kept us busy.
Our friends next door at Il Caminetto restaurant (they do delicious Italian food and the BEST coffee)
had a function on and needed some flowers and decorating, so we were more than happy to lend a hand.
The event was for a 21st Party for a girl who wanted something 'pretty'. With some help from my Mum (a retired florist) and Gabor we set this up.
The room had two beautiful mantles, each with a gorgeous ornate mirror which reflected and highlighted our flowers. (We cheated a little and used a combination of both fresh and artificial)
oooh...the peacocks have arrived, more coming soon!

Winter White
It seems like Winter is taking forever to get to Melbourne..we are still suffering through this horrible humidity which is a complete disaster for my hair, and the worst part is, it's still too hot to disguise the bad hair with a hat. In an effort to feel cooler, I have put together a collection of some of my favorite pieces that are in the store right now..all in icy whites and silver.
